After Franz Ferdinand recently released a greatest hits album with two new songs, their first studio album with the new line-up including drummer Audrey Tait is now finally on the horizon with The Human Fear (release date 10.01.25). Produced by Mark Ralph, who previously worked with them on their 2013 album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, the album shows Franz at his most direct, upbeat and life-affirming and, in classic Franz style, shamelessly goes all out. Singer Alex Kapranos says: ‘Making this record was one of the most life-affirming experiences I've ever had, but it's called “The Human Fear”. Fear reminds you that you're alive. I think we're all addicted in a way to the rush it can give us.’ Ever since Franz Ferdinand caused a musical explosion with Take Me Out in 2003, the Scots have been an integral part of the indie world. Hits To The Head showcased the hits the band has released so far, and the new album is the next step in Franz Ferdinand's ever-blooming future.

Grab your best dancing shoes and shed any self-doubt. The songs of Alex Kapranos and his band are so drenched in coolness that it's enough for all of us. Anyone who has ever been to a Franz Fredinand concert knows that the return of the Glaswegians is a must. Those who have never had the pleasure should join the rest. It's never too late to catch this blazing fire of energy. With this in mind: This Fire is out of control / I'm gonna burn this city, burn this city.
