Ignaz Netzer (born October 9, 1956 in Wangen im Allgäu) is a German blues guitarist, harmonica player and singer-songwriter. He discovered his passion for the blues at a young age and founded the band Firma Kischke in 1970. During his studies of German and history in Freiburg and Heidelberg (1976-1982), he deepened his musical skills and performed with artists such as Ray Austin and Werner Lämmerhirt.

In 1986, Netzer and pianist Thomas Scheytt formed the Oldtime Blues & Boogie Duo, later known as Netzer & Scheytt. The duo performed at renowned jazz and blues festivals in Europe and received the “Audience Award” at the SWR Hot Jazz Meeting in 2001. Several releases were also made during this time, including the solo CD “Walk On” and the albums “Trouble In Mind” and “Live Again”
