CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF “TOURIST HISTORY”
Two Door Cinema Club from Northern Ireland have been one of the defining indie bands of their generation since their debut album Tourist History. With songs such as “What You Know”, “Something Good Can Work” and “Undercover Martyn”, they combine catchy guitars with danceable electronic sophistication. The album reached number 1 in the Irish charts and brought the band international recognition – from a rehearsal room in Bangor straight to major festival stages around the world. Successful albums such as Beacon, Gameshow, False Alarm and Keep on Smiling followed, all of which reached the Top 10 in the UK and cemented their status as global festival headliners.
Although Tourist History was released back in 2010, the celebrations for its 15th anniversary are not yet over: in July 2026, Two Door Cinema Club will bring their debut album to the stage in Zurich in full, complemented by a selection of their greatest hits.
Two Door Cinema Club are the embodiment of cool indie sound. Their guitar hooks, combined with Alex Trimble’s distinctive voice, are unmistakable and have inspired countless imitators. Now, the original returns. A tour stop by the Northern Irish band is a rare occasion – the last time they played their own headline show in Zurich was in 2017. It is about time.
