South London singer and songwriter Joy Crookes has announced her long-awaited second album Juniper, set for release on September 26 – followed by a headline tour across the UK and Europe. Building on the success of her BRIT- and Mercury Prize-nominated debut Skin, Juniper is a bold and emotionally charged record that explores themes such as mental health, queer love, and body politics.
Created in collaboration with long-time producers Blue May and Tev’n, the album features guest appearances from Vince Staples and Kano. Singles like Pass The Salt and I Know You’d Kill showcase Joy’s lyrical sharpness and emotional vulnerability. Written during a time of personal crisis, the album represents resilience and strength – named after the juniper plant, which thrives in harsh conditions.
Joy Crookes will perform live at X-TRA in Zurich on December 1, 2025!
