The X-TRA has been closed for events since the beginning of March. The music has fallen silent, the event rooms are empty, the lights have gone out, no presentations that otherwise illuminate the projector screens, no fine smells from the kitchen, the bars are in a deep slumber, and the dinner tables remain empty. Its eerie when you walk through the Limmathaus these days. Where there are usually more than a thousand people, there is now silence.

But there is no sign of a standstill here at X-TRA.

It is the time, when a multitude of maintenance work, repairs and above all improvements to the infrastructure are carried out. Not only in the event location but also in the X-TRA Hotel, Marcel Gloor, head tecnician, and his team are eager work a long list of tasks, for which usually only free event days or weekends are otherwise available.

Our objective: preparing the X-TRA for the time after the lockdown.

And this list is tough!

For example: cleaning over 1000m² of windows, repairing, sanding and polishing all wooden floors, painting the walls, repairing doors, thoroughly cleaning all bars, maintenance of the audio and lighting system, cleaning the entire outdoor area, servicing lifting platforms, cleaning all curtains, refresh hotel rooms and much more. All in all, a list of several pages that the X-TRA technical team has to conscientiously work through during this time.

As soon as the lockdown is over, the X-TRA is again ready for its guests and for all kinds of events.

The whole X-TRA team is already looking forward to it!
